Helen M. Pryor, 98, formerly of 1015 Seborn Avenue, died of pneumonia, at 6:47 p.m. Saturday, May 7, 2005 at The Clay House, 3874 Frazeysburg Road, Zanesville, Ohio where she has resided since 2001.She was born on November 14, 1906 to the late Herman Grant and Mary Bertha "Mollie" Krout Clossman and was a lifelong member of St. John's Lutheran Church where she taught Sunday School and inspired many to seek and walk with the Lord Jesus Christ. She was an assistant for Dr. Roy P. Gillespie for many years and retired as a cook from Wilson Elementary School in 1969 after 10 years of service, taking that job so she could be at home when her children were. She completely gave of herself and her love to her family, making herself available in case she was needed, making our clothes, beautiful quilts, working with our Dad in their gardens, so that we would have good meals and give us an appreciation for the beauty of flowers and making her magnificant pies. She is survived by three daughters and their husbands, Linda ( Tommie Jim ) Paisley, Cheryl ( Jim ) Balderson both of Zanesville and Sandra (Jim) Hayner of Lake Gaston, NC., seven grandchildren, Michael (Darla) Paisley of San Antonio, TX., Mollie Paisley of Zanesville, Matthew (Julie) Paisley of Aurora ,IL., David (Erin) Clay of Raleigh, NC., Drew Balderson of Zanesville, Erin Balderson (John) Matthews and Beth Ann Balderson both of Greenville, SC., and is "GG" to Tyler, Travis, Brianna and Cammie Paisley, Mari-Kate and Noah Paisley, David and Adam Clay and twins, Kate and John Robert Matthews, a sister, Reba (Moe) Vinsel of Zanesville and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Earl Pryor, who died in 1969, three sisters, Mary Schramm, Ida Morrow and Ruth Ellen Wilson and by a brother, Harry Clossman. Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, May 10, 2005 at Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Avenue, Zanesville. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 11, 2005 at the funeral home with Pastor L. Dale McCallister and John Matthews officiating. Burial will follow at Zanesville Memorial Park.
