Hilda Hampp

Hilda L. Hampp, 98, of Zanesville, went to be with her Lord at 9:15 p.m. Friday, February 17, 2006 at the Helen Purcell Home. She was born February 13, 1908 in Norwich , the daughter of the late Harry and Mary Mangold Mason. Hilda was a retired registered nurse at the Bethesda Hospital and a lifetime member of the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church. Surviving are a daughter, Ramona Shaney of Westland MI., a sister, Elizabeth (Gerald) Baker of Zanesville, two step daughters, Shirley Shipley of Roseville and Arlene Wortman of Adamsville, a step son, Robert Hampp of Duncan Falls, a sister in-law Margaret Johnson of Zanesville, Six grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and fifteen great great grand children Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Otto E. Hampp (Oct 31, 2003) by two sisters, Martha Swingle and Hester Brock and by two brothers, Harry J. Mason and Robert Mason. Friends may call 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 Monday, February 20, 2006 at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Ave., Zanesville. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 21, 2006 with the Rev. John Edwards officiating. Burial will follow at Zanesville Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Helen Purcell Home, 1854 Norwood Blvd., Zanesville.
