Hilda M. Ruby, 81, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, formerly of Zanesville, died at 11:05 a.m. Friday, December 1, 2006 at Sunny Vista Living Center, Colorado Springs, Colorado. She was born January 11, 1925, in Middleport, Ohio, a daughter of the late Roy and Flora Jesse Lucas. She was a homemaker and a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church. Surviving are a son, James (Trudy) Ruby of Colorado Springs, Colorado; a sister, Frances (Fred) Hall of Spartanburg, SC.; two brothers, Robert Lucas and Earl (Donna) Lucas, all of Zanesville; two sisters-in-laws, Mildred Lucas of Roseville and Evelyn Lucas of Zanesville; fifteen grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James LeRoy Ruby, who died December 16, 1984; a sister, Adeline Joseph; three brothers, Ernest, Richard and Walter Lucas and two sisters-in-laws, Joan Lucas and Etta Lucas and a brother-in-law, Mearl Joseph. Friends may call from 9-11 a.m. Monday, December 11, 2006 at Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Avenue, Zanesville. Graveside services will be held at Noon Monday, December 11, 2006 at Zion Cemetery, Claysville with her son, James Ruby officiating.
