Hubert J. Muse

HUBERT J. MUSE, age 93, of Zanesville, Ohio, died at 8:25 pm Friday, May 28, 2004 at the Genesis Hospice Morrison House and Palliative Care. He was born October 6, 1910 in Pennsville, Ohio, the son of the late Leonard & Lesta Cunningham Muse.He retired in 1977 as a Soil & Water Conservationist for the the Soil and Water Conservation Service. He was a member of Market Street Baptist Church, a World War II Army Veteran, member of American Legion Post 29 and the D.A.V and The Ohio State University Alumni Association. Surviving two sons,Roger H. Muse of Zanesville and Phillip R. (Andrea) Muse of Carroll Ohio, a sister, Louise Wright of Columbus, three grandchildren, Karri A. ( Terrence ) Chinn of Columbus, Kevin A. Muse of Carroll and Kortney A. ( John ) Witt of Westerville, three great grandchildren, Njeri Chinn, Khari Chinn and Hannah Witt. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Geneva K. Muse, who died December 28, 1995, four sisters, Beulah, Mary, Louise and Maxine and brother, Dale Muse. Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Monday, May 31, 2004 at Bolin Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Avenue, Zanesville where services will be held Tuesday,at 1:00 pm, June 1, 2004 with Rev. D.Scott Johnston officiating. Burial will follow at Zanesville Memorial Park. VFW George Selsam Post 1058 will hold military rites at the grave.
