Hugh K. Mcdonald

Hugh Kenneth McDonald, 87, of Dresden Ohio, died at 8:53 p.m. Monday, December 4, 2006 at the Genesis Hospice-Morrison House. Kenneth was born February 2, 1919, in Zanesville, the son of the late Hugh L. and Elsie Brill McDonald. He was a longtime farmer and also worked for the Department of Natural Resources as a Maintenance Supervisor at the Dillon State Park. Kenneth was a member of the Central Presbyterian Church, a member of the Muskingum County Grange, the Muskingum County Farm Bureau, the Cattlemen's Association and the Huber Tractor Association. He thoroughly enjoyed nature, working the family farm and raising Charolais Cattle. Surviving are two nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephew. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Hazel McDonald and two brothers, Don McDonald and Harold McDonald. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 7, 2006 at the Central Presbyterian Church, N. 6th St. Zanesville with the Rev. Ray Morrison officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to service time at the church. Burial will follow at Muskingum Presbyterian Cemetery on Gorsuch Rd, Nashport. The Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Ave., Zanesville is in charge of all arrangements.
