J. Rodney McNeish, 70, of Zanesville, died at 12:40 a.m. Sunday, March 5, 2006 at Genesis Hospice-Morrison House. He was born January 13, 1936 in Washington Twp, a son of the late James A. And Mildred Hughes McNeish. Rod graduated from Adamsville High School Class of 1954, worked for 28 years at White Chevrolet as Service Manager and Body Shop Foreman, was a member of Coburn United Methodist Church, member of the FOPA, was a 50 year member of the Richvale Grange, was a great sports fan, especially basketball and golf and enjoyed NASCAR races. Surviving are his wife, Carole Cochran McNeish, whom he married December 19, 1964, of the home, a daughter, Rhonda ( Bruce) Kurtz of Dresden, a step-daughter, Janet (Bill) Roberts of Columbus, five grandchildren, Stephanie (Jeremy) Brennen of Dresden, Derek McInerney of Dresden, Chris, Kyle and Michael Roberts all of Columbus, a great grandson, Kyler Brennen of Dresden three sisters, Eleanor (Ralph) Vernon and Kay McNeish both of Zanesville and Carol (Fritz) Helms of Dresden, two brothers, Myron McNeish of Adamsville and Jeff (Faye) McNeish of Zanesville, and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Leland McNeish. Friends may call 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, March 7, 2006 at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Avenue, Zanesville where funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 8, 2006 with Rev. Doris Flynn officiating. Burial will follow at Zanesville Memorial Park.
