Jabie Max Conrad, 84, of Zanesville, died at 11:16 P.M. on Monday, June 9, 2014, at Genesis Good Samaritan Emergency Room. He was born December 30, 1929, in Rutland, a son of the late John W. and Mary Ellen Spires Conrad. He graduated from Lash High School class of 1949, retired after over 20 years from the Highland County Highway Department, had worked at Ohio Power for 18 years prior, and was a long time fairgoer who enjoyed the fair immensely. Surviving are his children, Christine (Daniel) Perone of Hopewell, Jabie S. (Pamela) Conrad of Zanesville, and Auttie B. Conrad of Greenbank, WA; six grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and his loving companion Ruthie Butts of Zanesville. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter Lily Dana Conrad; and a brother Jack Conrad. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, June 13, 2014, at the BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE, with Mr. Ed Clifton officiating, and with calling one hour prior. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Muskingum County Fair Board: P.O. Box 2176, Zanesville, Ohio 43702-2176.
