James "Jim" Leslie Farmer, 49, of Nashport, died Tuesday, February 23, 2010 at his residence. He was born May 7, 1960, in Zanesville, a son of Bernice Baldwin and the late James Raymond Farmer. He was the owner and operator of Farmers Excavating & Construction. Surviving are his mother, Bernice Baldwin Farmer of Nashport; two daughters, Leslie (Tim) Corp of Nashport and Bethany (Andrew) Spray of Newark; five grandchildren, Heaven, Austin, Bradly, Brycn and Baby Spray; two sisters, Judy (David) Lind and Joyce (Wayne) Allen, both of Nashport; a brother, Jerry (Mary) Farmer of Zanesville; a special cousin, Terry (Chris) Kovaleski of Dresden; and the mother of his children, Jan Acord Johnson of Newark and her son, Quentin Johnson. Friends may call 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Sunday, February 28, 2010 at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Ave., Zanesville. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 1, 2010 at the funeral home with Rev. John Schouten officiating. Burial will follow at Muskingum Presbyterian Cemetery, Gorsuch Road, Nashport. Memorial contributions may be made to the James Leslie Farmer Scholarship Fund at any Century National Bank location.
