James Buchanan Foster

James Buchanan Foster, 81, of Zanesville, passed at his home on Thursday, June 20, 2013. He was born February 15, 1932, a son of the late Rosser T. and Grace B. Foster. He was employed as a Journeyman Roofer at Geo P. Frueh Roofing and Sheet Metal, Saup Roofing, and later formed Foster and Ryan Roofing and Sheet Metal with his friend, Terry Ryan. He was a member of Finley United Methodist Church, Lafayette Lodge #79, Timber Run Grange, and the Model A Restorers Club. Surviving are his wife of 58 years, Ruth Nixon Foster, whom he married June 9, 1955; sons Dayle (Connie) of Cincinnati, Dave (Susan) of Zanesville, and Doug (Bonnie) of Cincinnati; five grandchildren Justin (Sarah) Foster, Chad (Kelly) Foster, Clayton (Perry) Foster, Jessica (Eddie) Towe, and Kyle Foster; and five great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Talmage Foster. Friends and family may call from 2:00-4:00 P.M. & 6:00-8:00 P.M. on Sunday, June 23, 2013, at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Avenue, Zanesville, where funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, June 24, 2013, with Rev. Charles Norris officiating. He will be laid to rest at Williams Cemetery, Zanesville.
