James F. Potts

James F. Potts, 73, of Zanesville, died at 8:25 a.m. Wednesday, October 3, 2007 at the Marietta Memorial hospital. He was born January 30, 1934, in Zanesville, a son of the late Clifford and Leone Runyan Potts. James attended the South Zanesville Schools and was an U.S. Army Veteran, protecting our country from 1957-1959 while stationed in Germany. Surviving are his wife, Judy Snyder Potts of the home; a son, Douglas (Dorothy) Potts of Duncan Falls; a sister, Rosalee (Herb) Mallot of Michigan, three brothers, Emmet Potts of Michigan, Boyd (Peanut) Potts and Jack (Joyce) Potts, both of Zanesville; two granddaughters, Clarrisa and Sierra Potts, both of Duncan Falls; three stepsons, Mike Kirkbride of Akron, Ohio, Doug Kirkbride of East Fultonham, Ohio and Jeff (Kim) Kirkbride of N.J.; a step daughter, Lisa Kirkbride of Zanesville and five step grandsons. No calling hours will be observed. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Ave., Zanesville are entrusted with all arrangements.
