James Edward Shaw, 86, of Valrico, Florida, died at 8:45 A.M. on Thursday, April 6, 2017, at Bayvue Assisted Living, Valrico, Florida. He was born May 24, 1930, a son of the late Thomas and Ella Mae Spohn Shaw. He worked for Producers, in Coshocton, Ohio as a livestock salesperson before his retirement. For many years he was a volunteer fireman for the National Trail Volunteer Fireman in Gratiot and enjoyed working as a wood crafter, working many craft fairs with his wife Charlotte in the Muskingum area. James was baptized at Market Street Baptist Church. He is survived by a son, James Aaron Shaw and wife Alessandra, of Valrico, Florida; three daughters, Jolene Newton of Valrico, Florida, Judy Sohrenssen of Deer Park, Texas, and Julie Hartzler of Eaton; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; and a sister, Donna Mae (Shaw) Robison, In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife (and mother of his children) Charlotte (Dick) Shaw; his second wife Becky (Gordon) Shaw; a granddaughter, Chlaine Sohrenssen; and a son-in-law, Steve Sohrenssen.
