Jane Kay (Stalnaker) Cowan

Jane Kay Cowan, 75, of Zanesville, died at 7:45 A.M. on Wednesday, December 13, 2017, at The Oaks at Northpointe, Zanesville. She was born July 19, 1942, in Zanesville, a daughter of the late Raymond and Mildred Bingman Stalnaker. She was the manager of rehabilitation at Good Samaritan Hospital for over thirty-three years, and was a member of Coburn United Methodist Church and the Ohio Nurses Association. She liked to travel and had seen most of the United States, Mexico, and the Caribbean. She liked to go to the family farm to go fishing and eating at Tee Jayes. She is survived by her husband Oran Cowan; a son, John (Denise) Cowan, of Grove City; three grandchildren, Mary, Michael, and Anna; a brother, Stanley (Marilyn) Stalnaker; many nieces and nephews; good friends, Fred Ingram, Barb Kangas, Mary Swope, Kathy Morrison, and everyone at Good Samaritan. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Raymond Stalnaker, Jr. Friends and family may call from 4:00 7:00 P.M. on Sunday, December 17, 2017 at the BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE where funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Monday, December 18, 2017, with Chaplain Tim Patton officiating.
