Jane A. Murphy, 80, of Zanesville, died at 12:10 a.m. Thursday, September 27, 2012 at Genesis Hospice-Morrison House. She was born on February 29, 1932, in Detroit, MI, a daughter of the late Edward and Helen Creagh Kulick. Jane retired as a secretary for Dura Corporation, was a member of the Central Trinity United Methodist Church, and also a member of the Verla Moore Service Club. She was an avid Ohio State Buckeyes and football fan. Surviving are two daughters, Pam (Phil) McCullough of Hebron, and Vicki (John) Wheeler of Zanesville; a step-son, George W. (Ellen) Murphy III of Newark; a step-daughter, Patti Murphy of Zanesville; eight grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren; and a special friend, Jinx Thompson of Zanesville. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George W. Murphy Jr., who died July 1, 2005 and whom she married December 4, 1981; a grandson, Troy Murphy; and four brothers, Don, Michael, Bill, and Jack Kulick. Friends and family may call from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Sunday, September 30, 2012 at Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Avenue, Zanesville. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, October 1, 2012 at the funeral home, with Rev. Tom England officiating. Jane will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband, George at Poplar Fork Cemetery, Gratiot, Ohio.
