Jeanne F. Irvin

Jeanne F. Irvin, 73, of Zanesville and Naples, Florida, died at 4:33 a.m. Wednesday, April 16, 2008 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born September 10, 1934, in Zanesville, a daughter of the late Dr. Wilbur and Agnes Loch Stiers. She was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church and had worked as a secretary for Brockway Glass and worked with her husband, C. Robert Irvin at Irvin Drilling. She was an avid golfer, former member of Zanesville Country Club and was a member of the Imperial Country Club of Naples, Florida. Surviving are three daughters, Jacqueline (Bob) Mather and Judy (Dan) Lowther, all of Zanesville and Joni (Bret) Steed of Nashport; a son, Jim (Sherry) Pryor of Ocilla, Georgia; nine grandchildren, Jason (Tish) Mather, Angela Mather, Trista Steed, Stephanie Pryor, Shane, Cory, Aaron, Georgia and Olivia Pryor; a great-granddaughter, Madison Mather; a sister, Peg Celisestino of Montrose, California and her very special classmates (The Golden Girls). Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, C. Robert Irvin, who died January 9, 1992 and a brother, Fred Stiers. Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Friday, April 18, 2008 at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Avenue, Zanesville, where a vigil service will be held at 3:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 19, 2008 at St. Thomas Catholic Church, 144 North 5th Street, Zanesville with a Dominican Father as celebrant. Burial will follow at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery, Zanesville.
