Jeffrey Jay Hunt, 69, of Nashport, died at 5:53 A.M. on Wednesday, January 3, 2018, at Mt. Carmel East Hospital, Columbus. He was born November 4, 1948, in Zanesville, to the late Joseph and Eileen Shreve Hunt. He was a United States Army Veteran serving during the Vietnam War and a dock foreman at Allied Tube and Conduit Company in Hebron. He is survived by his wife of twenty-seven years, Catherine Parks Hunt, whom he married November 23, 1990; a son, Jeff (Alisha) Hunt; two step-daughters, Deanna Barcus and Misty Neal; two step-sons, Donald (Lori) Naylor and Michael Naylor; eight grandchildren; two great-granddaughters; and an uncle, Raymond Shreve. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Terry Lee Hunt. A Cremation-With Care has taken place and a Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at the BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE with calling hours one hour prior and Pastor Dean Cole officiating. Full Military Honors will be accorded to him at 12:55 P.M. at the funeral home by the United States Army in conjunction with the VFW George Selsam Post 1058 and the American Legion Post 29.
