Jerrold Arthur Smith

Jerrold Arthur Smith, 84, of Zanesville, died at 3:20 A.M. on Monday, December 15, 2014, at the Willow Haven Nursing Home. He was born December 22, 1929, in Muskingum County, a son of the late James Richard and Marie Josephine Mitchell Smith. He retired as a truck driver for Thompson Movers and Thompson Moving Mail Route and was a member of Cornerstone Full Gospel Church. Surviving are his five children, Debora (Terry) Robertson of Duncan Falls, Patricia (James) White, Jeff (Karen) Smith, Ronald "Chip" (Angie) Smith, and Doug (Roxanne) Smith, all of Zanesville; fourteen grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; two brothers, Jim Smith of Frazeysburg and Ronnie (Irene) Smith of Zanesville; two sisters, Sharon Smith and Marge Jenkins, both of Zanesville; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Beisser Smith, who died July 21, 1990; four brothers, Harley, Pete, Grant, and Don; and a sister Imogene. Friends and family may call from 2:00-4:00 P.M. and 6:00-8:00 P.M. on Wednesday, December 17, 2014, at the BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE, where funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, December 18, 2014, with Rev. Stephen J. Harrop officiating. He will be laid to rest at Duncan Falls Cemetery, Duncan Falls.
