John Mark Bonifield

John Mark Bonifield, 64, of Zanesville, died Tuesday, February 5, 2008 at his residence. He was born July 17, 1943, in Zanesville, a son of the late John W. Jr. and Virginia McFarland Bonifield. He was a retired salesman, a member of Grace United Methodist Church and a US Navy Veteran. Surviving are a daughter, Jill (Lucas) Els of Atlanta, Georgia; step-mother, Jean Bonifield of Zanesville; three step-sons, Scott Bauer of Richmond, Virginia, Jeffrey (Kelli) Ruehman of Atlanta, Georgia and Michael (Leigh) Ruehman of Boise, Idaho; three step-sisters, Debbie Schwab of Fort Myers, Florida, Christine (Jonathan) Swedlund of Naperville, Illinois and Robin Scanlon of Kensington, Maryland and two step-brothers, John Schwab of Columbus, Ohio and W. Andrew (Joan) Axline of Cantley, Canada. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Rick Bonifield. Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until service time at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 9, 2008 at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Ave., Zanesville with Rev. James Sands officiating. Burial will follow at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery. VFW George Selsam Post 1058 will hold full military services at the gravesite. This is a corrected revision of the obituary by the family.
