John Christopher Gamble

John C. “Chris” Gamble, 61, of Crooksville, died at 5:30 A.M. on Wednesday, April 19, 2023, at The Ohio State James Cancer Hospital. He was born December 18, 1961, in Zanesville, a son of Mary Archer Gamble. He was a Veteran of the United States Navy and had worked for many years as a sub-contracted Land Surveyor. Chris was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles of New Lexington #2070, and could be found outdoors from sun up to sun down. He was an OSU Football fan, enjoyed hunting, fishing, wood working, bowling, golf, and he could fix anything.

Surviving are his loving wife, Loretta M. (Stude) Gamble, whom he married September 14, 1991; a daughter Sarah Gamble (Robert Royston); a son John Christopher Gamble II (Katlyne Vore); three grandchildren, Isaiah Beisser, Myles Gamble and Layla Gamble; two brothers, Greg (Michelle) Gamble and Joel (Jeanne) Gamble; three sisters, Jennifer (Lyle) Adams, Melinda (Peter) Westphalen and Molly (Mark) Ansel; and close friends Kevin (Judy) Cannon.

Friends and family may call from 2:00 P.M.-6:00 P.M. on Sunday, April 23, 2023, at the BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE, where funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, April 24, 2023. He will be laid to rest at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery, Zanesville.
