John M. Jack, 87, of Zanesville, died at 6:50 a.m. Sunday, September 10, 2006 at Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital. He was born August 1, 1919 in Zanesville, a son of the late Daniel C. And Cora Ackerman Jack. Jack was a member of Coburn United Methodist Church. He was the first Senior Citizen Co-Ordinator for Muskingum Co., was a 50 year member of Lafayette Lodge # 79 F&AM, Zavi Shrine, Aladdin Shrine, Muskingum Co. Association of Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite. Jack was an avid golfer and card player who enjoyed playing Euchre, Bridge and Poker. Surviving are a son, Jeff (Vicki) Jack of Zanesville, five grandchildren; Jeff H. Jack, Julie A. Jack-Graham, John R. Jack, Doug R. Jack and Jason R.( Lisa) Shigley, eight great grandchildren; Kayla Graham, Dylon Graham, Billy Jack, Jared Jack, Jason Shigley, Amber Shigley, Jennifer Shigley and Sam Shigley, a brother, David (Eileen) Jack of Wadsworth. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Frances Jack, who died February 7, 2001 and two brothers; Carl and Harry Jack and a sister, Hilda Shrigley. Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, September 12, 2006 at Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Avenue, Zanesville. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 13, 2006 a Coburn United Methodist Church with Rev. Doris Flynn officiating. Friends may call one hour prior at the church. Burial will follow at Zanesville Memorial Park.
