John Stephen Jerig

John Stephen Jerig, 63, of Zanesville, died Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at his home. John was born January 6, 1953 in Zanesville a son of John H. Jerig Sr. and the late Leona Glass Moore. He was a chemist for Lumilite Candle Company and an avid boxing fan. Surviving are his father, John H.(Blanche) Jerig Sr. of Zanesville; four children, Travis Jerig of Zanesville, Tori Jerig of Zanesville, Dawnia (Laurie) McVoy-Jerig of Denver, CO and Dante Jerig of SanDiego, California; ten siblings, Jackie Bowman of The Plains, OH, Dan (Winnie) Shaw of Westerville, Terry Rognon of Heath, Leo Shriver of Heath, Wayne (Handan) Shiver of Zanesville, Dee United of Frazeysburg, Holly Jerig, Beth (Clariza) Jerig, Dr. Sean Jerig and Anthony Jerig. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by a brother John Herman Jerig Jr. Friends may call from 2-4 p.m. on Saturday, March 5, 2016 at Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home and Crematory, 1271 Blue Avenue, Zanesville.
