John F. Kihm, 90, of Zanesville, went to be with his Lord & Savior at 6:40 a.m. Thursday, June 8, 2006 at Genesis Extended Care, Zanesville. He was born August 4, 1915 in Logansport, Indiana, the son of the late William and Emma Tussing Kihm. John was a member of the St. Nicholas Catholic Church, a member of the Coast Guard Auxillary and served as a volunteer at Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital. He retired in production controll at the Lear Corp. Surviving are his wife, Helen Koontz Kihm, whom he married August 29, 1940, of the home, two sons; James C. (Constance) Kihm of Parkton, MD., and Thomas W. (Mary) Kihm of Belevedere S. C., two sisters, Betty (Wally) Fye and Jeanette Mores, both of Tavares Fl., five grandchildren; Gretchen (Christopher) Strub of Fairfax, Va., Gregory Kihm of Mt Rainier, MD., Kathryn Kihm, Jacob Kihm and Aaron Kihm, all of Belevedere S. C., two great grandchildren, Hannah and Sydney Strub, both of Fairfax Va. Friends may call 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, June 11, 2006 at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Ave., Zanesville Ohio. A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 12, 2006 at the St Nicholas Catholic Church, Zanesville with Father Leo Connolly as celebrant. Burial will follow at Mt Olive Cemetery, Zanesville. Vigil service will be held at 3:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
