John "Jack" Lee Schilling

John (Jack) Lee Schilling, 73, of Chandlersville, died at 4:25 P.M. on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born April 18, 1945, in Zanesville, a son of the late H. Wayne and Thema Martin Schilling. He was the Blue Rock State Park Manager for thirty years and a member of Chandlersville United Methodist Church. John was a member of Anchor Lodge #283 F. & A.M., Amrou Grotto Past Monarch 2011, and a member of the Eagles #302. He was an avid farmer, hunter, and nature lover. He enjoyed traveling and was a Harley Davidson Motorcycle, car, and Ford tractor enthusiast. He is survived by his wife, Joyce Crawmer Schilling whom he married December 30, 2011; a daughter, Shannon (Jeff Robinson) Gawell; two sons, John Michael (Denise) Schilling and Robert (Thasia) Schilling; four stepchildren, Karen (Tony) Bishop, Stephanie Bishop, Jeff Van Dorn, and Mark Van Dorn; six grandchildren, Amanda (Josh) Gardner, Andy Collins, David Schilling, Cady Schilling, Ryan Schilling, and Cole Schilling; six step-grandchildren, Clifford, Grant, Erick, Chloe, Nina, and Micah; four great-grandchildren and one on the way; a sister, Marilyn (Roy) Hunkins; and dear friends, Harold Newell and Bob and Sarah Friend. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wives L. Janie Sciance Schilling and Marilyn J. Brock Schilling. Friends and family may call from 2:00 - 4:00 and 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. on Friday, September 28, 2018 at the BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE with Masonic Services to be held at 5:30 P.M. by Anchor Lodge #283 F.& A.M. followed by Amrou Grotto Services at 5:45 P.M. Funeral services will be held at BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, September 29, 2018, with Chaplain Anthony Payton officiating.
