John Gordon Williams Jr.

John Gordon Williams Jr., 84, of Hendersonville, NC, passed away Thursday, August 28, 2014, at Park Ridge Hospital. He was born February 13, 1930, in Akron. He began work in 1955 as a Manager with the General Electric Company. During his time in Zanesville, John served as President of the Chamber of Commerce as well as the Chairman of the Board at Good Samaritan Medical Center. John is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Joan, daughter Nancy Gainor and her husband John, daughter Susan, son Mike and his wife Dorrie, son Steve and his wife Carrie, grandsons Mike, Brian, and Dan Gainor, Zane and Greg Williams, and great grandchildren Kendall, Clara, Grayson, and Garrett Gainor. He is also survived by his brother David Williams and his wife Barbara. Memorial services were held September 3, 2014, in Hendersonville, NC.
