Jon Jay McManaway, 70, of South Zanesville, went home to be with the Lord at 7:30 A.M. on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, in his home. He was born March 31, 1954, in Zanesville, son of the late Milton and Phyllis (Reeves) McManaway. Jon was employed at Essex Wire as a material handler and was also an ASA Umpire for twenty years. He was a member of Cornerstone Full Gospel Church, an avid bowler and a diehard Steelers fan. Jon was a prayer warrior, he prayed for everybody faithfully every night.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Teena (Hammond) McManaway; a brother, James R. (Jill) McManaway, best friend, Mark Mauller; cousins, a niece and nephews and his furry companion, Beanie.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a special grandma, Jesse Reeves who raised him.
Friends and family may call from 11:00 A.M. until time of service starting at 12:00 NOON on Saturday, March 15, 2025, at Cornerstone Full Gospel Church, 4509 Salt Creek Drive, Duncan Falls, Ohio, 43734 with Pastor Steve Harrop officiating. He will be laid to rest at Zion Cemetery in Claysville, Ohio at some point in the future.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in Jon’s memory to the American Heart Association, PO Box 840692, Dallas, TX 75284-0692.
