Joseph Jay Denning, 65, of Zanesville, died at 7:11 A.M. on Sunday, April 24, 2016, at Genesis Hospice-Morrison House. He was born March 30, 1951, in Zanesville, a son of Sally A. Morosko Denning of Zanesville and the late Joseph D. Denning. He had worked as a dispatcher and mechanic for Green Top and Yellow Cab, and was a member of First Christian Church. In addition to his mother, he is survived by two sisters, Rebecca (William) Scogin of Georgetown, TX and Lesa (Michael) Meyer of El Paso, TX; four nephews; one niece; an uncle Richard (Angie) Morosko of Roseville; two aunts, Nancy (Dan) Jenkins of Malta and Anna Crouch of Merriville, IN. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his uncle William Denning. A memorial service will be held at a later date. He will be laid to rest at the Muskingum Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Arrangements were entrusted to the BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE.
