Joseph Mirvis

Joseph Mirvis, 99, of Columbus, died at 12:20 A.M. on Sunday, October 30, 2016 at Kensington Place. Joe was born September 20, 1917 in Portsmouth, OH a son of the late Oscar and Rose Freedman Mirvis. He worked for Freedlander Company then Rocky Shoes and finally retiring from William Annat Company. Joe was a World War II Air Force Veteran, a member of Ebenezer Lodge #33 Wooster, Ohio F & AM, Scottish Rite of Canton and Shriners of Columbus. Surviving are his loving wife Esther Lee Schahet Mirvis, whom he married June 15, 1977. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a brother, Harold Mirvis. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 1, 2016 at Beth Abraham Jewish Cemetery with Rabbi Jeffrey Elson officiating.
