Joseph C. Worstall, age 85, of Zanesville, Ohio, died at 9:20 a.m. Monday, June 28, 2004 at Genesis Hospice and Palliative Care. He was born January 29, 1919 in Zanesville a son of the late John M. And Grace Hempfling Worstall. He was the Owner & Operator of the Worstall Service Station and Wrecker Service. He was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church, lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus Council 505, a World War II Army Veteran, and was awarded the Asiatic-Pacific Theater Ribbon with 2 bronze stars, Good Conduct Medal, WWII Victory Medal, the Philippine Liberation Ribbon with 1 bronze star and the American Theater Ribbon, lifetime member of VFW George Selsam Post 1058 and lifetime member of Fraternal Order of Elks, Lodge 114. Surviving are his wife, Mary Lou Noll Worstall, whom he married January 13, 1948, of the home, a daughter, Joyce ( James ) Estock of Gahanna, a sister, Jane Armbruster of Wilmington, NC., a granddaughter, Jessica ( Rick ) Moore of Stow, a sister-in-law, Carolyn Wymer of Zanesville and many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Jack Worstall of Zanesville; and a sister, June Sagle of Whitehall. Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, June 30, 2004 at the Bolin Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Avenue, Zanesville. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 1, 2004 at St. Thomas Catholic Church with Fr. Emmanuel Bertrand as celebrant. Burial will follow at Mt. Olive Cemetery. Wake services will be held at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday. VFW George Selsam Post 1058 will hold military rites at the grave. Memorial contributions may be made to Genesis Hospice and Palliative Care.
