Joy I. Mattey

Joy I. Mattey, 80, of Zanesville, died at 5:45 p.m. Wednesday, February 21, 2007 at the Autumm Healthcare of Zanesville. She was born January 5, 1927, in Zanesville, the daughter of Edna Shearer Combs Howard and Lawrence B. Combs. Surviving are two sisters, Leona Waller and Dorothy Boetcher, both of Zanesville and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Mattey; by one brother, Gary L. Combs and by three sisters, Norma Uphold, Marjorie Shesky and Helen McCutcheon. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 27, 2007 at Zanesville Memorial Park with the Rev. Thomas D. Snyder officiating. No calling hours will be observed. The family request in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice.
