Joy Marlene Lutz Myers, 72, of Zanesville, died at 11:15 p.m. Thursday, May 27, 2010 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Joy was born May 21, 1938, in Zanesville, a daughter of the late Karl Edward and Laura Elaine Deters Nowell Lutz. She graduated from Zanesville High School Class of 1956, attended classes at Ohio University and the Court Reporting School in Columbus, Ohio. She also had Finance and Insurance and Business and Finance Insurance training in Dublin, Ohio. She worked for White Chevrolet, Chesrown Oldsmobile and Myers Motorsports. She attended Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church and Central Trinity United Methodist Church. She was a member of OES #485 since 1955 and enjoyed crafts, genealogy, and her grandchildren. Surviving are her husband of 54 years, Russell Edwin Myers, whom she married June 10, 1955, of the home; two children, Dr. Rusty L. (Jill) Myers and Lori Ann (Gary) Riffee, both of Zanesville; four grandchildren, Abigail Marie and Ryan Myers and Jacob and Jeff Riffee, all of Zanesville; two sisters, Betty Jane Lutz Clapper of Zanesville and Karlene Sue Lutz Webb of Beverly, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Monday, May 31, 2010 at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Ave., Zanesville where the Order of the Eastern Star will hold services at 5:45 p.m. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 1, 2010 at the funeral home with Dr. L.
