Juan Jose Ramos, 59, of Zanesville, died at 8:00 p.m., Saturday, November 27, 2004 at The Ohio State University Hospital, Columbus, Ohio. He was born November 23, 1945 in Santurce, Puerto Rico a son of the late Carmelo and Epifanna Baez Ramos. He was owner & operator of his own heating & cooling business. Juan was a Vietnam Veteran serving in the Marine Corp. where he received the Purple Heart. He was a charter member and board member of the Vietnam Veterans of America, Zanesville Chapter and belonged to the D.A.V. Surviving are his wife, Wanda Sue Stone Ramos, whom he married June 26, 1977 of the home, 7 children, Monique ( Jay ) Ramos Rivera of Manhattan, NY, Faith ( Brandon ) Cornell, Raymond ( Mary ) Ramos, Lisa Ramos, Adrian Ramos, Carmen Ramos and Miguel Ramos all of Zanesville, 12 Grandchildren, a step-daughter, Maria Rivera of Manhattan, NY, a brother, Leo ( Bonnie ) Ramos of Phoenix, AZ, 5 sisters, Naomi Ferrette of Buffalo, NY, Ruth Santiago of Niagra Falls, NY, Elizabeth Hall of Baltimore, Maryland, Maria Dooley of Zanesville and Miriam Ramos of Baltimore, NY. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Israel and Eliseo Ramos. Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Tuesday November 30, 2004 and one hour prior to services on Wednesday at Grace Wesleyan Church, 505 Pine Street, Zanesville, where services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 1, 2004 with Pastor Paul Wallace officiating. Burial will follow with full military honors at Veteran Memorial Gardens in Woodlawn Cemetery, Zanesville. Bolin Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Avenue, Zanesville entrusted with all arrangements.
