Juanita G. (Fenneken) Aggas

Juanita G. Aggas, 92, of Zanesville, formerly of Gratiot, died at 9:15 p.m. Friday, November 11, 2011 at Genesis Hospice-Morrison House. She was born September 5, 1919, in Licking Co., a daughter of the late Nellie Clagett Dick. She retired in 1990 after 17 years of service as the Postmaster at the Gratiot Post Office. She was a member of the Gratiot United Methodist Church. Juanita enjoyed playing Bridge, was an avid bowler and enjoyed all sports. When her children were growing up, their yard was the center of all sporting events. Surviving are two sons, Brent (Pam) Aggas of Zanesville and Larry (Gayle) Aggas of Zanesville; four grandchildren, Lindsay, Beau, Michael and Katie Aggas; two step-grandchildren, Jayson and Chris Garrett ; a great grandson, Ayden Bennett of Zanesville; a sister, Norma (Gail) McCullough of Newark; and a sister-in-law, Peggy Aggas Garey of Gratiot. Besides her mother, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leslie Ward Aggas, who died May 4, 1997; and her step-father, Paul Dick. Friends and family may call from 4-7 p.m. Monday, November 14, 2011 at Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Avenue, Zanesville where funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday November 15, 2011 at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband at Poplar Fork Cemetery, Gratiot. The family wishes to thank the Emeritus at North Hills for all their care and concern given to their mother for the last seven years.
