Juanita F. Harris

Juanita F. Harris, 85, of Zanesville, died at 5:55 p.m. Monday, April 23, 2007 at Genesis Hospice-Morrison House. She was born December 5, 1921, in Zanesville, a daughter of the late Everett E. and Martha "Mattie" L. Downing Roberts. She graduated from Lash High School in 1939. She worked for Line Material, Attorney Ralph Marshall, The Times Recorder for 23 years and she retired from Bethesda Hospital as a switchboard operator. She was a member of St. Lukes Lutheran Church and American Legion Auxiliary Unit 29 and was an avid bingo player. Surviving are four daughters, Shelley (Joe) Riggs of Nashport, Barbara (Dan Sherman) Gillespie and Holly (Kirby) Minnich, both of Zanesville and Pamela Harris of the home; two sons, Steven (Nicole) Harris and Philip (Sally) Harris, both of Zanesville; eleven grandchildren, Angela (Steve) Russell of Columbus, Stephani (Jon) Shirer of Adamsville, Jolie (Dave) Lane of Nashport, Kyle (Andrea) Minnich of Nashport, Claude (Anna) Archambault of Kathleen, Georgia, Johanne (Andrew) Wilson of Somerset, Ohio, Steven (Mary) Harris of Zanesville, Bradley Harris, Brooke Harris, Joshua Willison and Jeremy Willison, all of Zanesville; eleven great grandchildren, Tyler, Siena, Kelsey, Allen, Brittany, Gabrielle, Kylie, Lola, Alisia, Jaxson and Jenna; two sisters-in-law, Opal Roberts and Marilyn Harris, both of Zanesville; two brothers-in-law, Bill Harris and Gene Harris, both of Zanesville; special friends, Margaret Pletcher and Mary Teetz, both of Zanesville and a special niece, Louise Jones. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard C. Harris, who died December 19, 1985; a daughter, Sally Christine Harris; three brothers, Cliff, Howard "Red" and Russell Roberts and her loving cocker spaniel, Precious. Friends may call 2-8 p.m. Thursday, April 26, 2007 at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Ave., Zanesville. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a..m. Friday, April 27, 2007 at the funeral home with family friend, Jim Moorehead officiating. Burial will follow at Zanesville Memorial Park. "She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and a friend to all. She will be sadly missed."
