Juanita "Skeet" Mattingly

Juanita "Skeet" Jane Mattingly, 93, of Zanesville, died at 9:59 A.M. on Thursday, August 9, 2018, at Oaks at Northpointe, Zanesville. She was born May 10, 1925, in Philo, a daughter of the late Bernard G. and Lena Bell Fitz. She was a homemaker and the previous owner of Chateau Estates of Southeastern Ohio. She was a member of Coburn United Methodist Church. Skeet loved to quilt, play bridge, and play golf. She is survived by a daughter, Saundra (Carl) Page of Zanesville; a granddaughter, Carly Ziemer; two step-grandchildren, Jami Page and Charles Lester; a brother, Jerry Fitz; three sisters, Bonnie Foley, Betty Ann (Alan) Baker, and Evelyn Moore; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert H. Mattingly, who died May 4, 1990; four brothers, Paul "Squealer", Don "Grinny", Wayne "Lefty", and Albert "Ab" Fitz; and a step-grandson, Jack Page. Friends and family may call from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at the BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE and one hour prior to funeral services to be held at Coburn United Methodist Church, 3618 Maple Avenue, Zanesville at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, August 15, 2018, with Pastor Justin Williams officiating. She will be laid to rest at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery, Zanesville.
