Juanita M. Mautz, age 78, of Zanesville, Ohio, went home to be with her Lord Saturday, April 2, 2005. She was born January 28, 1927 to the late Edward R. And Margaret Evans Bailey. Juanita was a member of the Immanuel United Church of Christ where she taught Sunday School for many years. She was a member of the Conrad Class at the Church. In her younger years she worked as a seamstress and later retired from United Technologies after 26 years of service. In 1965 she was a member of the ZHS Band Boosters where she was the founder of the waffle stand. She was a Past President of the Fraternal Order of Eagles # 302 Aux. serving three terms and also was named Eagles Aux. Mother Of The Year (1991-1992). Mrs. Mautz was a Past Worthy Matron of OES Olive Branch 251 at Duncan Falls Ohio. Surviving are her husband of 58 years Dale H. Mautz of the home, three daughters, Anita Friel and Shirley Parker, both of Zanesville, and Donna( James) Davis of Oakland Tenn., one son Loren E. (Kathy) Mautz of Zanesville, six grandchildren and four great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Ray Bailey and Ralph Bailey and a grand daughter Kimberly Lynn Friel. Friends may call 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, April 5th, 2005 at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Ave., Zanesville Ohio. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 6th, 2005 at the funeral home with the Rev. Sam Greening officiating. Burial will follow at Zanesville Memorial Park. The Eagles Lodge Aux. will hold services at the funeral home at 6:15 p.m. Tuesday with OES Olive Branch 251 holding services at 6:45 p.m. Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Genesis Hospice and Palliative Care or to the Immanuel United Church of Christ.
