Juanita M. McGrail, 75, of Zanesville, died at 7:39 P.M. on Tuesday, July 23, 2013, at Select Specialty Hospital-Good Samaritan Campus. She was born May 22, 1938, in Gratiot, a daughter of the late Robert T. Perry and Lila Walters Perry Schall. She attended Blue Rock Baptist Church. She loved to sew, quilt, and make greeting cards, but most of all Juanita enjoyed being with her family. Surviving are a son Robert L. Birkhimer of Zanesville; four daughters Shannon (Rick) Herron of New Concord, Missy (Luke) Mallett of New Concord, Judith (Eric) Blattert of Greenwood, IN, and Tommy Sue (John) Hall of Zanesville; seven grandchildren, Robert T. Birkhimer, Mandi Birkhimer, Adam L. Mallett, Tiffany Hartman, Eric McGrail, Emma Birkhimer, Gabbi Birkhimer; many great grandchildren; two sisters Jacquie Kunkle of Zanesville and Kristina (Del) Kananen of Hoffman Estates, IL; a brother Richard (Joan) Perry of Cornelius, OR; several nieces and nephews; and two special friends Audrey Weiser and Sharon Cable. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Thomas A. McGrail, who died July 2, 2003. No calling hours will be observed, and a dignified cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, July 26, 2013, at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home and Crematory, 1271 Blue Avenue, Zanesville, with Pastor Tim Gifford officiating. Burial will follow at a later date.
