Judith (Kussmaul) Dennis

Judith A. Dennis, 64, of Zanesville, died at 10:25 a.m. after a long battle with Pulmonary Hypertension on Friday, September 24, 2010 at The Ohio State University Hospital. She was an organ donor who gave the gift of life. She was born November 24, 1945, in Zanesville, Ohio, a daughter of Margaret L. Evans Kussmaul of Zanesville and the late Paul J. Kussmaul. She was a member of the Fair Oaks Baptist Church, and a Zanesville Devilette Booster since 1980 where she had served as Vice President and Secretary. She was also Past President of the Zanesville High School Band Boosters. Judy's hobbies were sewing, collecting antiques and spending time with her grandkids. Surviving in addition to her mother; are a daughter, Jenny (Joe) Sayles of Duncan Falls; three sons, Jeff (Cheryl) Dennis, Jeff Colling and Jay (Amanda) Colling, all of Zanesville;14 grandchildren, Austin and Allison Dennis, Josh, Justin (Sarah Jones-fiancee), Jade, Jared, Jenna, Jessica and Jacie Middleton, Corbin Sayles, Evan Colling, Justin Thrush, Bethany and Brooke Colling; a brother, Paul (Linda) Kussmaul of Zanesville; a sister-in-law, Marlene (Jerry) James of Zanesville; a nephew, Glen Kussmaul of McConnelsville ; and a great niece, Morgan Kussmaul and a great nephew, Matthew Kussmaul. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Dennis, who died September 6, 2010. Friends may call 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Monday, September 27, 2010 at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Ave., Zanesville. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 28, 2010 at the funeral home with Dr. David Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
