Julia A. (Jones) Stewart

Julia A. Stewart, 85, of Zanesville, died at 9:12 A.M. on Monday, May 13, 2013, at her home. She was born February 21, 1928, in Portsmouth, Ohio, a daughter of the late James B. and Laura E. Thornsberry Jones. She retired from Putnam Transfer where she worked for the billing department. Surviving are two daughters, Brenda (Robert) Smith of Tempe, AZ, and Karen (Lance) Mason of Burke, VA; a son Doug (Barbara) Stewart of Midland, TX; five grandchildren Ashley Shaw of Zanesville, Wesley (Megan) Shaw of Zanesville, SPC Geoffrey Reavley of Ft. Gordon, GA, Jason Schenck of Tempe, AZ, and Adam Schenck of Tempe, AZ; and three great grandchildren, Ava Shaw, Kayson Gassaway, and Brylee Gassaway. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Buck, Case, Ernie, and Leroy Jones; and two sisters, Nellie Tittle and Stella Butler. Friends and family may call from 11:00 A.M. until time of the funeral service at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, May 17, 2013, at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Avenue, Zanesville. She will be laid to rest at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery, Zanesville.
