June Eloise (Addy) Vernon

June Eloise Vernon, 87, of Zanesville, died at 4:00 a.m. Thursday, September 30, 2010 at the Emeritus at North Hills. She was born August 24, 1923, in Muskingum County, Ohio, a daughter of the late Preston and Audrey Harbin Addy. She was a member of the Trinity United Presbyterian Church in Zanesville and the Northminster United Presbyterian Church while living in Canton, Ohio from 1972-1983. Surviving are a son, Michael A. (Paula) Vernon of North Canton, OH.; two grandchildren, Marisa (Brian) Naftzger of Cuyahoga Falls, OH. and Nicholas Vernon of Minerva, OH.; two sisters, Barbara Vivian Addy and Marilyn (Gary) Adams, both of Zanesville; and a brother, Glenn Addy of Norwich, OH. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, R. Edwin Vernon, who died July 30, 1988; and four brothers, Delbert, Duane, Karl and Kent Addy. Friends may call 4-7 p.m. Friday, October 1, 2010 at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Ave., Zanesville and one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 2, 2010 at Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Avenue, Zanesville with Rev. Floyd Starr officiating.
