Karen Steinbrecher, 78, of Zanesville, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 31, 2020 at Genesis Hospital, Zanesville. She was born June 21, 1942 in Huntington, West Virginia, to the late Ferdinand and Sadie Nelson Weinberger. Karen graduated from Huntington High School, Huntington WV in 1960 and was a telephone operator for C & P/Bell and also worked in several different retail stores during her work career. Karen married Freddy Steinbrecher in 1963 where they relocated to Logan, Ohio. Karen loved her family and was very dedicated to both her family and friends.
She leaves behind her husband of 57 years James "Freddy" Steinbrecher; daughter, Bev Steinbrecher of McConnelsville, and a sister, DiAnn Willis of Indian Trail, NC.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving grandparents, Lilly and Richard Nelson and her brother, Ferdinand "Pepper" Weinberger.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions no funeral services will be held at this time. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
