Karl G. Shaw

Karl G. Shaw, 93, of Zanesville, died at 4:45 p.m. Monday, July 20, 2009 at Genesis Extended Care and Rehab Center. He was born August 29, 1915, in Columbus, a son of the late Karl D. and Etta Gregory Shaw. He was the former owner/operator of K.G. Shaw & Co. Realtors. He was a member of Fond-du-Lac Masonic Lodge #140, Fond-du-Lac Eastern Star #70, and was an active member of Kiwanis for many years. He attended Coburn United Methodist Church and was a United States World War II Navy Veteran. Surviving is his wife, Jean Perry Shaw, whom he married December 18, 1982 of Zanesville. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Dorothy Reed Shaw, who passed away July 15, 1978; and two sisters, Doris Miller and Ruth Fry. At the request of the family, no calling hours or services will be observed. A caring cremation has taken place. Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 1271 Blue Ave., Zanesville is entrusted with all arrangements.
