Kathleen R. Brumage

Kathleen Roberts Brumage, 82, of Lancaster, died at 11:00 p.m. Saturday, September 6, 2008 at the Fairfield Medical Center in Lancaster. She was born October 4, 1925 in Glouster, a daughter of the late Charles Vane and Rose Catherine Welch Roberts. She graduated from Kent State University and was a School Teacher in Muskingum County in various School Districts for 30 years. She was a past member, officer and president of the Business and Professional Women's Association, volunteered for over 20 years at Christ's Table. Kathleen was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Zanesville and attended Shalom United Methodist Church in Carroll. Surviving are three step-children, Thomas (Judy) Hall of Oswego, MI., Lucy (Joe) Hannan and Barbara Dupree all of Columbus; fellow Golden Girls, Paula Roberts, Diane McCreary and Debbie Cofman, all of Lancaster and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William B. Brumage, who died September 13, 1995; four brothers, Andrew, Gail, Neil and Robert Roberts; two sisters, Shirley Huntington and Eloise Kellam. Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, September 9, 2008 at Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Avenue, Zanesville. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 10, 2008 at the funeral home with Pastor Barbara Wood-Salyers officiating. Burial will follow at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery.
