Kathryn "Kay" A. Wollam, 74, of Zanesville, passed away at 7:47 a.m. on Saturday, July 28, 2012 at Willow Haven Care Center after battling heart disease and diabetes for over 30 years. She was born on January 15, 1938, to the late Clarence and Katherine Henderson Williams. With a love for life and laughter, Kay was a dedicated teacher, past president of Glass City American Diabetes Assn, founding member of Zane City Mended Hearts, member of First Christian Church, patient mother and proud grandmother. She is survived by a daughter, Ellen, and grandson, Leo, both of Zanesville and a sister Christine (Curtis), brother Michael (Cathy), niece and nephews. Friends and family may call on Tuesday, July 31, 2012, from 2:00 p.m. till time of service at 4:00 p.m. at Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Avenue, Zanesville with Rev. Dawn Remster officiating. She will be laid to rest at Maple Grove Cemetery, Dover, Ohio at a later date. The family would like to extend a special thanks to all the dedicated staff at Willow Haven who provided loving care to Kay during her residence.
