Kay A. Smart

Kay Arlene Smart, 60, of Gratiot, died at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, January 24, 2009 at her residence. She was born January 12, 1949, in Zanesville, a daughter of the late Roy Lee and Roma C. Varner Smart. She was a day care provider and a member of the Gratiot United Methodist Church. Surviving are a sister, Teresa L. Blackstone of Zanesville; an aunt and uncle, Janet and Rolland Varner of Nashport; and several cousins. Friends may call from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, January 29, 2009 at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Ave., Zanesville. A time to share a remembrance for Kay will be held at 7:00 p.m. with Jeff Iden in charge. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 30, 2009 at Poplar Fork Cemetery, Gratiot. Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Ave., Zanesville is entrusted with all arrangements.
