Kaye E. Hedges Smith of Radcliff, Kentucky died Sunday,June 18, 2006 surrounded by her loving family. She was the sunshine of all the lives she touched and will be sadly missed but remembered with great joy. Mrs. Smith was the daughter of Harold and Virginia Hedges and formally of Zanesville, Ohio. After 25 years of service as a dental assistant she retired from US Civil Service. She was a member of the DAV Ladies Auxiliary, a former member of the Radcliff Board of Adjustment and Radcliff Lions Club. She was very active in Golden Field Day and many other organizations in the Radcliff area. She was preceded in death by her parents Harold and Virginia Hedges, husband of 29 years Frank "Jody" Smith, and a special friend, Al Hoover. She is survived by her loving and devoted son Robert "Boby" Smith of Vine Grove, KY., two sisters, Judi (Dick) Smith of Tolono, Ill. and Marilyn (Russ) Swope of Zanesville, two brothers, Bob (Kay) Hedges of Zanesville and John (Deb) Hedges of Mack, CO., granddaughter Heather (Travis) Garrett of Guston, Kentucky and great granddaughter Jadyn Garrett of Guston. Several aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and pets Jenny dog, Marilyn and Bobby cat. Friends may call two hours prior to services which will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, June 23, 2006 at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Ave., Zanesville, with Rev. D. Scott Johnston officiating. Burial will follow at Zanesville Memorial Park.
