Kenneth D. Avery, Jr.

Kenneth D. Avery Jr., 29, of Zanesville, died at noon, on Saturday, September 5, 2009, at Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital. He was born on April 23, 1980, in Ypsilanti, MI, a son of Kenneth D. Sr. and Esther Newman Avery of Zanesville. He was a member of the Carey Street Mission Church and was a graduate of Philo High School Class of 1999. He also enjoyed fishing, golfing, hunting, and watching dirt track races. Surviving in addition to his parents, are two sisters, Monica (John) Myers of Bryant, IN, and Melissa Avery of Zanesville; a niece, Janae Myers; a foster nephew and niece, Bradley and Lillian; grandparents, Arthur & Marjorie Avery of Milan, MI, and Virginia Newman of Philo; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by a maternal grandfather, Alfred Newman. Friends may call Tuesday, September 8, 2009 from 2-4 & 6-8 and one hour prior to the services at the Union Tabernacle Church, 2433 Hartford Avenue, Zanesville. Funeral services will be held at the church on Wednesday, September 9, 2009 at 11:00 a.m with Rev. Gabe Norris, Rev. Terry Newman, Rev. Charles Baum, Rev. Josh Peck and Rev. Mark Avery officiating. Burial will follow at Duncan Falls Cemetery, Duncan Falls.
