Kenneth English, 79, of Zanesville, went home to be with his Lord at 8:33 a.m., Wednesday, January 25, 2006 at Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital. He was born November 30, 1926 to the late John and Margaret Teagarden English. He was a member of Central Trinity United Methodist Church and retired from Ohio Power Company/ Cardinal Plant, Brillant, Ohio as a supervisor and safety coordinator. Kenneth was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Army Corp. Of Engineers. He enjoyed square and round dancing with the Zane & Janes Square Dance Club. He enjoyed baking , woodworking and camping with the Country Campers. Surviving is his loving wife, Pearl Judge English, whom he married September 17, 1947, of the home, a daughter, Juanita (Mark) English-Bishop of Zanesville; two sons, Larry (Joyce) English of Glen Dale, WV., and Alan (Deborah) English of Coshocton; seven grandchildren, Melissa (Kirby) Barbour of Durham, NC., Jennifer English of Columbus, Joseph English of Falls Church, Va., Melinda English and Allison English, both of Coshocton, Tiara and Tiffany Bishop both of Zanesville; a sister-in-law, Mildred English of Texas; and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Paul English, a granddaughter, Erica Pauline English, a brother, John English, a sister, Mildred Moore and a loving dog, Tappy. Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Friday, January 27, 2006 at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Avenue, Zanesville where funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 28, 2006 with Rev. Tom England officiating. Burial will follow at Zanesville Memorial Park. VFW George Selsam Post 1058 will hold full military rites at the grave.
