Kenneth A. Pyles

May 21, 1930 — April 20, 2018

Kenneth A. Pyles, 87, of Zanesville, died Friday, April 20, 2018, at his home. He was born May 21, 1930, in Crooksville, a son of the late Kenneth E. and Nellie Allen Pyles. He graduated from Lash High School and was an electrician retiring from McGraw Edison. He was a member of First Christian Church and a member of Masonic Lodge #726 F&AM, a twenty seven year member of Valley of Cambridge Ancient and accepted Scottish Rite, and a twenty one year volunteer with Genesis Hospital. He is survived by a daughter, Karen (David) Bender; two sons, Glenn E. Pyles and Jeffery A. Pyles; four grandchildren, Stephanie (Jason) Chappman, Bradley (Abby) Bender, Kelly (Jerry) Stiers, and Aaron (Jennifer) Bender; and eleven great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Carr Pyles who died January 15, 1997; a sister, Colleen Carey; and a brother, Clem Pyles. Friends and family may call from 6-8 P.M. on Monday, April 23, 2018 at the BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE where funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. on Tuesday, April 24, 2018, with Rev. Dawn Remster officiating. He will be laid to rest at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery, Zanesville.
