Larry K. Gheen, 74, of Zanesville, died at 1:11 P.M. Saturday June 2, 2018 at Genesis Hospital, Zanesville. He was born January 30, 1944, in Zanesville, a son of the late Harry and Clara Samson Gheen. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and had worked for Gibson's Meatpacking and the Lear Corporation. Larry was a devoted husband to his true love, Kathy, who died, February 11, 2012 and to his children and grandchildren. He also was a true friend to all and an avid collector. Surviving are four sons, Ryan (Billie) Gheen, Thomas Gheen, David (Peggy) Gheen of St. Louisville, Ohio, Justin (Laura) Gheen; two daughters, Tina Rucker and Tracy McDonald; seventeen grandchildren, and 29 great grandchildren and expecting three more; eight brothers, Bill Gheen, Donald (Hazel) Gheen, Tom (Sue) Gheen , Raymond Gheen, Wayne (Jenny) Gheen and Chuck (Jackie) Gheen, Carl (Nancy) Gheen and Eddie ( Joann) Gheen; three sisters, Alice Siders, Joyce Miller and Rosie Tanner. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Kathy M. McDonald Gheen, whom died February 11, 2012, three brothers, John, Harry and Roy Gheen and a sister, Roxann Gheen; three brothers-in-law, John Edwards, Dan Girton and Elmer Siders, sister-in-law, Darlene Gheen and a nephew Todd McDonald. Friends and family may call from 2-5 P.M. Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at the Salvation Army, 515 Putnam Avenue, Zanesville where services will be held at 5 P.M. with Pastor Ron Fleming officiating. Following the service full military honors will be provided by the U.S. Army, VFW George Selsam Post 1059 and American Legion Post 29. A Cremation-With-Care will follow the service.
