Larry R. Still, 68, of Somerset passed away Saturday, October 27, 2012 surrounded by his loving family. He was born December 12, 1943, in Zanesville, a son of the late Samuel and Esthel Cain Still. Larry retired from the Muskingum County Probation Department and was previously the owner of Allied Office Products. He was a member of Lafayette Lodge # 79 F&AM, 32⁰ Scottish Rite Valley of Cambridge, Aladdin Shrine, and Amrou Grotto # 45, serving as Monarch in 1996. Larry served as past president of the Ohio Foundation Quarter Horse Association, the Zanesville Optimist Club, and the Zanesville Management Association. He also served as Chairman of the Board for the Perry Co. MRDD and as photographer for the Special Olympics. He started the New Lexington Merchant's Association as well as the Zanesville Mounted Deputies. Larry had been a member of the Elks, Eagles, and Cowboys for Christ, was a frequent visitor to Greece and was a private pilot who owned his own plane. He was an avid fisherman and horse breeder, and enjoyed showing his horses. Surviving are his loving wife, Carol A. Heck Palmer-Still, whom he married September 24, 2006; a daughter, Kimberly (Robert "Ob") Hartman; step-son, Michael (LeAnne) Six; step-daughter, Dawn Woodrow; two grandchildren, Sydney and Robert "Trace"; five step-grandchildren, Makaley, Jacob, Mitchell, Erin and Brit; a brother, Mark (Connie) Still; a sister, Linda Sue Clark; an aunt, Carol Damon; two nephews, Craig Savage and John Samuel Savage; a niece, Melissa Faulhaber. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Rusty Still, and a sister, Candace Kieffer. Friends and family may call from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, October 31, 2012 at Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Avenue, Zanesville with Amrou Grotto services to be held at 5:45 P.M. Wednesday. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, November 1, 2012 at the funeral home with Rev. Bill Alvey officiating. He will be laid to rest beside his son, Rusty, at Williams Cemetery, Zanesville.
