Larry Eugene Young

Larry Eugene Young, 79, of Zanesville, died at 4:09 P.M. on Wednesday, February 14, 2018, at his home. He was born June 24, 1938, in Zanesville, a son of the late Charles T. and Clarabelle Mauller Young. He was Vice President of Shelly & Sands Aggregate Division retiring after forty years. Larry was a member of the Elks, past President of the Zanesville Country Club, and was on the board of directors of Ohio Aggregates. He was also a volunteer at the South Zanesville Fire Department and a member of the South Zanesville Association. He is survived by his wife and buddy of thirty nine years, Pamela Jo Schuster Young, of the home whom he married July 30, 2011; three children, Kimberly (Keith) LaCrone of Zanesville, Todd (Misty Hamilton) Young of Buckeye Lake; and Misty (Brad) Lear of Zanesville; two step-daughters, Erika (Rodney Hoops) Upvall of Zanesville and Elyse (Matt) Luburgh of Zanesville; grandchildren, Kolby (Audry) LaCrone, Kinsey LaCrone, Taylor Young, and Mercedez Lear; step-grandchildren, Laklyn Upvall, Ava Hoops, Sydney Erwin, Harlie Erwin; a sister, Lynne Ann (Norm) Brooks of South Zanesville; many nieces and nephews; and a sister-in-law, Michele Young of Zanesville. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Tom Young. Friends and family may call from 2:00 6:00 P.M. on Sunday, February 18, 2018 at the BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE where funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, February 19, 2018 with Rev. Dawn Remster officiating. He will be laid to rest at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery, Zanesville at a later date.
